Katy Perry Perfume

Now here’s something to look forward to in the fall. Katy Perry will launch her first fragrance November 2010 called Purr. Personally owning at least 50 bottles of perfume, Katy knows a thing or two about what she’s doing. If Purr is anything like Katy’s personality, outfits and songs then this will be a girly fun perfume to look after. She says,

“I’m not embarrassed to say that I went out and bought [Beyoncé Knowles’ first scent] Heat and Kim Kardashian’s scent earlier this year. I’ve worn Clinique Happy, Ralph Lauren’s Romance and Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle. My sense of smell is so important to me. A guy can walk into an elevator wearing Acqua di Gio, and I’m immediately like ‘You’re my first boyfriend.’ I want my fragrance to have that effect on people.”

I say a makeup collection should be next, at least some sort of collaboration with MAC or Sephora. Katy has such a creative mind, and the collection would be the ultimate girly line.

Wonder Woman Makeup Coming Soon

One of my favorite superheros of all time is coming to us in the form of makeup. MAC Cosmetics is partnering up with DC Comics and creating a collection based on the superhero. The limited edition collection is set to be released Spring 2011 at MAC stores worldwide. And really what better superhero to release an inspired makeup line after? With her signature red lips and the best accessories, Wonder Woman and MAC are a perfect match.

Jennifer Aniston Releases Fragrance

Jennifer Aniston, the former Friends star, launched her first fragrance yesterday in London. The perfume’s name was changed last-minute from Lolavie to Jennifer Aniston. She didn’t want Lolavie to be confused with Marc Jacobs popular fragrance, Lola.

Jennifer spoke to Reuters Television about the last-minute name change,

“And at such a late hour, I didn’t want to postpone the launch so the only thing we could really clear (in terms of rights to perfume titles) was my name.”

Her self-titled fragrance was released at Harrods in London. Jenn, who has said in the past that she’s not really a perfume kind of person, describes why her perfume is different. She says it’s a combination of her favorite scents, “the ocean, sea air, blooming jasmine, and tropical oils.” Sounds like a sweet summer scent.

Imagine the bottle without the Lolavie.
