Snooki Approves of Sunlove

Self-proclaimed guidette, Snooki, does not step out the house without a bronzed complexion. Recently she’s been spotted promoting Sunlove’s self-tanners. It’s a spray tan you can give yourself at home. The formula is blended with natural ingredients that start working on your skin up to three hours after it’s been applied. The radiant glow will last on your skin for up to three days. Go as dark as you want by layering the mist on the body.Sunlove is designed for everyone in mind wanting a safe tan.

You can see pictures of her on their website and she might even be filming a commercial for sunlove.  Snooki told allure magazine:

“I just heard about Sunlove not too long ago and then I tried it out. It doesn’t leave your face greasy, and there’s no bad smell to it like other spray tans. I never used spray tanners until this one because I usually just went tanning. But you know after the taxing, you don’t want to deal with that, and friggin’ cancer—so this is a great product to replace all the bad stuff of tanning.”

No word on whether she’ll stop using tanning beds altogether, but the tan still looks great.

Eat Your Way To Healthy Skin

Surely you’ve heard the expression, “you are what you eat”. It might be hard to put the sweets down and not give into the greasy temptations, but think about your health. As good as it might taste it isn’t doing any good to your body. Being cautious of your intake today will save you from a breakout tomorrow.

Clinical nutritionist, Samantha Heller told WebMd, “The healthier the foods are that you consume, the better your skin will look.”

Heller goes on to explain that the foods you eat eventually become part of you. Knowing what to eat and what will benefit whatparts of your body is essential in living a healthy life. That being said, here are some of the foods you should keep around that will do your body some good:

Anything high in antioxidants and Vitamin A is great. It keeps your immune system strong and skin experts say that a daily intake of Vitamin A will do the skin wonders. Low-fat dairy products contain a good amount of Vitamin A. Try low-fat yogurt or any of these fruits:

  • Blackberries
  • Blueberries
  • Plums
  • Strawberries

Essential Fatty acids like the ones in canola oils and salmon will help keep your skin looking young, tight, and glowing. Also snacking whole grain breads, cereals and nuts like the following promotes stronger and healthier hair and nails (The protein from eggs is also good for your hair):

  • Walnuts
  • Cashews
  • Pecans
  • Almonds

When it comes to beverages green tea is a safe choice and an alternative to sodas and syrupy drinks. The tea contains anti-inflammatory properties and has proven to reduce the damage done from the sun’s harmful rays. Not only that, but it’s been tested to prevent and reduce skin cancer. While green tea is beneficial, water is the best way to stay hydrated. Drinking it flushes the toxins out of you and keeps your skin clear.

Start treating yourself to healthier skin. Incorporating these foods and making it a part of your lifestyle, not just a diet, will benefit your entire your body head to toe.

Stop Excessive Sweating

Sometimes you’re not involved in any physical activity what so ever, but for some reason your underarms are excessively sweating. If regular antiperspirant deodorant isn’t working there are other options to consider.

You can save up for Botox injections (which stop the sweating for up to 6 months) or you can something a little less expensive. DERMAdoctor offers a product from MED e TATE called, Hyperhidrosis Control Wipes. The wipes are supposed to be so strong that with one wipe you’re sweat free for a week. It retails for $48 and brings 30 packettes. The Hyperhidrosis Wipes are not just for underarms, but they can be used on other parts of the body that you experience excessive sweating like:

  • Palms of your hands
  • Feet
  • Soles
  • Cleavage
  • Face

Beauty vs. Health

Beauty standards change year after year, decade after decade. Sometimes they even change over night. There was a time when the fairness of your skin meant you were in a higher class of people. A dark or tanned complexion appeared to others as someone who was a worker and did their labor outside. The beauty regime was much easier also. Stay under an umbrella to protect yourself from the sun or stay indoors. But, O, how drastically the times have changed. Today a tanned complexion is the preferred kind. Being tan gives people the illusion of beauty and that the person takes care of themselves. You look well rested, athletic, and like you’ve just arrived from vacationing by the beach.
Tanning salons and services can be found easily.
Some gym facilities offer tanning services with their memberships, as if working out and tanning go hand in hand in being a healthy individual. The harmful affects of tanning beds have been reported numerous times, yet people don’t stop the unhealthy habit.Younger individuals who use tanning beds have a greater risk getting melanoma than those who don’t tan.  Skincancer.org posted an article on five reasons to give up tanning beds. The wrote that the deadliest form of skin cancer has been found in UV radiation. Will you risk your health in the name of beauty?
